The Conference and Facilities Unit
The Conference and Facilities Unit has handled conferences and programmes for international organisations and associations (such as the European Commission, UNESCO, the Council of Europe, the Commonwealth Secretariat, UNEP, UNHCR, the Euromed Civil Forum-1997) and provides the full service expected of conference organisers.

The Aula Magna, previously the University’s examination hall, is a major venue for high profile international conferences, seminars and lectures. It has provided the right setting for the promotion of greater understanding amongst peoples whatever their race or religion. The hall has excellent acoustics and lends itself to any seating arrangement desired by clients. The Library and other halls at the Old University building can accommodate smaller conferences and can also serve as rooms for break-out sessions.

Besides the beauty of the Old University Building, the Unit’s biggest assets are the expertise of its personnel, its flexibility, and its attention to client requirements - each programme is tailored to individual needs and objectives. Customer care is always number one on its list of priorities. Besides logistical coordination, the Conference Unit can also lay on an interesting social programme for both participants and accompanying persons to ascertain that first-time visitors to the islands get a taste of Maltese history and culture. Access to the academic and technical resources of the University of Malta, together with the extensive experience in running conference and educational events, ensure that the Foundation for International Studies Ltd. can offer you a unique experience.
